I am Scott Boddye, an experienced IT professional with a proven track record in managing IT operations for small to mid-range companies, particularly those with a Mac environment. My recent role as an IT Manager at Vendr allowed me to revolutionize the way companies manage and purchase applications, making the process seamless and efficient. At Vendr, I was responsible for managing a SaaS environment of over 180 applications, overseeing procurement processes, and implementing security measures that contributed to SOC II compliance.
My journey began with Blissfully in July 2021, where I initially joined as an IT Manager and Customer Trainer. Following Vendr’s acquisition of Blissfully in January 2022, I played a pivotal role in integrating the two companies' operations. Significant milestones during my tenure included Vendr’s successful $150 million Series B funding round, which elevated us to unicorn status, and managing the rapid expansion of the team from 150 to 450 employees.
Prior to Vendr, I served as an IT System Analyst at Granular from August 2019 to July 2021. During this period, I managed a SaaS environment of over 220 applications with a $7M budget. I led initiatives to audit applications, define ownership, and manage contracts, significantly streamlining our IT processes. Additionally, I designed and managed employee on/offboarding, vendor processes, and identity management strategies. I was instrumental in deploying PeopleOps and Finance applications, automating processes, and establishing IT standard policies.
Before Granular, I worked as an IT Support Engineer at Percolate by Seismic, where I audited SaaS applications, recovering over $60K in unused licenses, and renegotiated contracts. I also enhanced the self-service model of support using Jamf and Confluence, and collaborated with the Security team to implement new security protocols and prepare for compliance requirements such as DLP and GDPR.
Earlier in my career, I served as an IT Consultant at Prologis and College Track, where I administered identity and access management, performed executive-level desktop support, and standardized workflows and policies. I also managed internal ticketing systems and defined MDM strategies for Mac environments. At PresenceLearning, I progressed from a Desktop and Network Support Manager to a Clinical Operations Coordinator. I planned and implemented office moves, streamlined on/offboarding processes, managed Active Directory, and prepared the company for HIPAA compliance. Additionally, I created and managed the company intranet, developed technology budgets, and led IT projects.
Throughout my career, I have consistently streamlined SaaS environments, negotiated contracts to optimize costs, and enhanced IT support models.
